Avondale offers the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme, focusing on the development of the whole child as an inquirer, at school and throughout life. Avondale Elementary is also a Cognia STEM certified school.

Fall Break & Indigenous Peoples’ Day Holiday

September 24, 2026

Enjoy time off for Fall Break! Monday, October 5 is a Professional Development day so no school for students. Fall Break is October 6 - 9. And on Monday, October 12, Indigenous Peoples' Day / Columbus Day is a holiday. See students back at school on Tuesday, October 13! And remember there will be no aftercare on Friday, October 2.

Double Good Popcorn Fundraiser

Help us fundraise to help supply Teachers with Grants through the AES Foundation. The fundraiser starts Sept. 23 at 3 pm through Sept. 30 at 3 pm. Learn how to download the app and get started!

School Tour

All incoming or families considering Avondale Elementary School as a school of choice are welcome to attend a school tour on Friday, September 18 or Monday, October 19!

Parent Teacher Conferences
