Join us for the end of the school year Honor’s Day, celebrating our scholars’ hard work, special achievements and finishing another successful school year!

The last day of school for students is Thursday, May 28. Last day of aftercare is Wednesday, May 27. We wish a safe and happy summer to all of the AES students, families and staff! See you back for the first day of school on August 3. Be sure you are signed up to get AES foundation emails to get details in July of open house and other back to school details!

Current families and incoming families are encouraged to subscribe to the AES Roadrunner Newsletter! The AES Foundation sends out a monthly newsletter and occasional reminders. We send out reminders for details for Open House at the beginning of the school year, links you need, upcoming events, volunteer opportunities and more! Make sure you stay informed, be involved and support AES!

Join us on Tuesday, May 19, at 5:30 pm, in the AES Media Center. All are invited and welcome to attend the last board meeting of the current school year. Learn more about what the foundation does and how you can get involved!

All Roadrunner Fund donors who have given $5 or more over the 2025-2026 school year will be entered into a drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card. The more you have contributed, the more chances you’ll have to win! Donate by May 15 to be entered into the drawing.

Our Avondale community showed up in a big way for our first Avondale Math Quest, and the results speak for themselves! Together, our students completed an incredible 37,351 math problems, with 122 students participating, and raised $2,313 to support our school.

This year we ask that students decorate a plain white or light-colored t-shirt at home. Be creative and have fun with it! Shirts should say “Field Day 2026” and be school-appropriate. Wear your field day creation on your scheduled Field…

Students in upper grades will participate in a variety of team‑based and competitive activities that promote sportsmanship, cooperation, and school spirit. The emphasis of Field Day is for EVERY child to feel successful. Get all the details here.
