Avondale Elementary Recognized as a 2025 Title I Reward School
The DeKalb County School District (DCSD) announced that eight DCSD schools have been named 2025 Title I Reward Schools. This is the largest number of schools recognized in Georgia this year. Avondale Elementary School, Barack H. Obama Magnet School of Technology, Cedar Grove Elementary School, Chestnut Elementary School, Evansdale Elementary School, Margaret Harris Comprehensive School, McNair Middle School, and Robert Shaw Theme School were among just 69 schools statewide to earn this distinction.
Title I Reward Schools are identified as the top five (5) percent of Title I schools in the state, making the most progress in improving the performance in English Language Arts and Mathematics of the all-students subgroup.
DCSD congratulates and appreciates the principals, teachers, and staff of these schools for their dedication to student success.
